Hey, I’m Neel 👋#

I’m a Master’s student in Cyber Security and Forensics at Gujarat University DBFS (currently in my 1st year), stepping deeper into the world of offensive security. I started with a Bachelor’s in Computer Application and now I’m focused on building a career in penetration testing, VAPT, Red Teaming, and eventually Malware Analysis.

I’m building this space to document my learning journey: HTB machines, TryHackMe rooms, CTF challenges, and anything security-related I find worth writing about.

What I’ve Done#

  • 🔴 Security Testing Intern (3-month internship, now completed) — performed VAPT on real web applications
  • 🎯 Found and reported vulnerabilities ranging from Low → Critical severity in production environments
  • 🧠 Grinding TryHackMe and HackTheBox to sharpen my methodology

I don’t have a single fixed focus yet — I’m exploring different areas, but most of my energy goes into VAPT and Red Teaming, with Malware Analysis as something I’m picking up soon.

What I’m Doing Right Now#

  • 🎓 1st year MSc Cyber Security & Forensics student at Gujarat University DBFS
  • 🔬 Learning Malware Analysis concepts alongside my main VAPT/Red Team focus
  • 🧠 Continuing TryHackMe and HackTheBox to build methodology

Skills & Tools#

What I Post Here#

  • HTB / THM Writeups — retired machines and rooms with full methodology
  • CTF Writeups — challenges from competitions I participate in
  • VAPT Notes — techniques and findings (sanitized, no sensitive data)

I write writeups the way I wish I’d found them when I was stuck — explaining the why, not just the commands.

Goals#

  • Land a penetration testing internship/job soon
  • Work toward eJPT → CEH → OSCP certification path
  • Get comfortable with Malware Analysis concepts
  • Build a body of work that speaks louder than a resume
